You just opened your new business and now you need to find a way to attract customers. There is the typical expensive way to go about this and there is the smart way. We all get the ads in the mail and how many do you really look at. The old fashioned letter in an envelop is much more likely to be given time to be read than a postcard mailer.
The personal touch is so important so sign your letter by hand, and in a different color than the print of the letter. Believe it or not, an envelope with a special stamp will get a better response. Be sure to list not only the features of your product you are selling but also the benefits it offers. You can also ask your target market as to what they find value in instead of shooting in the dark.
If you got your mailing list through a broker be sure it is a smart list and ask your broker for a list similar to your product that had a high response. A broker who works already with a reputable trade group is your best bet.
